Leif & Sons started with a simple observation. We kept walking into beautiful spaces that still felt off. The sofa was right. The paint was right. The art was right. And yet something was missing. Every time, it came back to the light. Cold, flat, forgettable fixtures pulled from catalogs that treat lighting as an afterthought rather than the single most important design decision in a room.
So we built the brand we wished existed. A lighting and home company that treats every piece as part of how a space is lived in, not just how it looks in a photograph. Ten years later, we are still obsessed with the same question. How do we make a room feel intentional the moment you walk into it?
Our mission
Make every space feel intentional. Not louder. Not more complicated. Just better.
We believe good lighting does more than illuminate. It shapes mood, defines proportion, softens edges, draws attention where it belongs, and quietly does the work of making a room feel like home. Our job is to design pieces that do that work beautifully, and to make them accessible to anyone who cares about the difference.
What we make
Lighting and home pieces built around warmth, proportion, and detail. Pendants, floor lamps, table lamps, sconces, and décor designed in house by a team that sketches, prototypes, and tests every product before it earns a place in the collection.
We design slowly on purpose. A new pendant might sit on a studio shelf for six months while we live with it, adjust the shade depth, change the socket position, rework the finish. The pieces that make it to our site are the ones we would install in our own homes without a second thought. Everything else gets scrapped.
Some designs are ready to install out of the box. Others are built to order, scaled and finished for the specific space they are going into. Either way, the standard is the same.

Trends age badly. A room built around this season's viral fixture looks dated within two years. We design the opposite way. Shapes that feel familiar ten years from now. Finishes that settle into a space rather than shouting over it.

Fewer, better things. We produce in considered quantities with partners who share our standards for materials, labor, and waste. Sustainability is not a marketing line for us. It is a constraint we design inside.
How we work
Every collection starts with a question. What is missing in this room? Then we build the answer. We sketch, we model, we prototype in our studio, we test in real homes before we ever put a piece in front of a customer. When a design is finally ready, we work with a small network of trusted makers to produce it at a standard we can stand behind.
That process is slower than the industry average. It is also the reason our customers tell us their fixtures feel different the moment they install them. You cannot fake considered design. You can only put the hours in.
The team behind it
We are a studio based in the USA. Designers, engineers, customer support, and a handful of people who wear several hats at once. We answer our own emails. We follow orders from sketch to shipped. We stay in touch with customers long after the box is opened, because the work is not done when the sale closes. It is done when the room feels right.
Our support team is here seven days a week, 8:00 to 19:00, ready to help you choose the right fixture, measure a space, troubleshoot an install, or replace a part years into ownership. That level of care is not a perk. It is the product.
